What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically new clients will come in for a face to face consultation. This process includes discussing the art to be tattooed, placment, as well as setting an appointment date and time. I will also address any concerns that the client may have about the tattooing process or aftercare.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I undergo annual Blood Borne Pathagan training (BBP) as well and annual registration with the county health department. I also comleted an in shop apprenticeship. I have been doing art my whole life.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The minimum charge for a tattoo is $80. I charge $150 per hour. Deposits for booking appointments are usually $50. This is credited twards the overall cost if the tattoo. ALL deposits are non refundable.
How did you get started in this business?
Tattooing has always been a passion if mine since the age of 10. I was doing window art for tattoo shops and was offered an apprenciceship. I have been tattooing ever since.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Dont only look for the lowest price. Look at the artists portfolio to be certin that they are capable of acomplishing the type of tattoo that you are looking for. Though it is never a bad idea to look at a few shops.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Ask questions about saftey andf sterility of equipment, and experience. Also be sure that the placment of your new tattoo will not interfere with any future employment goals.
