Cheri Bradshaw Portrait
About
Photography was my passion growing up. I was in the darkroom by middle school, and continued learning in high school and college classes. I shot my first wedding, solo, at the age of 20, and began my career as a professional photographer.
I strive to take the best portraits my clients have ever seen of themselves, and love when they tell me how much fun their sessions were.
I have a fully equipped studio in San Juan Capistrano, but also love to shoot on location.
I am a member of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A pre-portrait consultation is highly preferred. This way I am assured I know exactly what the client is interested in achieving with their session, we nail down wardrobe and color schemes, and we get to know each other a bit before the session. All of this makes the actual session be super comfortable and run smoothly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied photography all through middle school, high school and college, shooting my first wedding, solo, at age 20. I completed training with the New York Institute of Photography in 2000. Also, in my late teens and early twenties I spent a lot of time on the other side of the lens modeling and acting, which was fabulous experience for directing posing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started in this business?
I was always fascinated by photographs...then began studying it and was in the darkroom by middle school!
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types!!
That is what is great about this profession. You work with all kinds of people and never know who is going to walk through your door!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I was able to shoot senior graduation photos for a boy who was very ill with Leukemia when he was nine years old. It was so touching and such a thrill to see him healthy, happy and ready to go off to college with his whole life ahead of him.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be sure you view at least a few portfolios before making your decision. One photographers style should resonate with you, and if none do, keep looking! Your photographer is out there!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1. What is my desired result?
2. How much is my budget?
3. How quickly do I need the finished product?
