What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost, I introduced myself, show them my credentials and ask them "How can I help you?" Once I find out what their looking for, I try to accommodate them in creating their desired design.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been tattooing for about 40 years or so, since I was 12 years of age. I always had a gift for art. I have been working professionally for 6 years now. I custom make all my designs in accordance to the clients request or ideas in my iPadpro, si they can have their own original tattoo.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
At our shop, Distinctive Ink, our minimum is $100.00. Our hourly rate is $150.00. However, I do try to work with my clients budget. I have a special, that for an ALL DAY SESSION, 12:00-8:00, I do it for $800.00
How did you get started in this business?
I've always loved seen my friends and family sporting my tattoo on them, and their friends asking them who did their art.
What types of customers have you worked with?
From young adults, to elderly. Also have done cosmetic tattoos.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
To first have a consultation and see there credentials and portfolio before you decide to get work done by them.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
That a tattoo is permanent, and it is very expensive to get very nice work.
