I love to give & specialize in well crafted, flirty, & easy to handle haircuts that in some cases take their shape as they dry @ my private salon in Santa Monica, Californina. I also travel to various locations. As an artist I feel compelled to release the beauty I see in others 1 snip @ a time b/c I never met a head I didn't like. I'm been cutting hair 20+ yrs & have worked on the the movers & shakers of Hollywood & many celebrities + designed & cut hair for TV & film. I've been featured in articles about my haircuts, in Vogue, ALLURE, Glamour, SELF, People, Us, LA TIMES, Business Week New York Magazine & in LA Magazine as "Best Pick" 2x's & mentioned many other periodicals...I've won awards for my cuts, & appeared on morning shows too.
I enjoy meeting & interacting with people, changing any negative perceptions of their hair & themselves, freeing them from fears, giving them a new look, a fresh start & helping them achieve the hair goals they desire as being their personal "hair coach!"

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1st I'm on time & showered. (2) Then I interview the client's hair history & everything they can tell me about their hair, the pros & cons. Do they consider themselves inept in styling their own hair & why? Do they want wash & wear or able to style on their own is ok with their time limit? (3) Which experiences with their hair they've liked & hated. (4) What's their expectations & any other input? (5) Comfort levels, are they ready to jump into something totally NEW? (6) What's their occupation & family like? (7) It's all about communication & gaining trust with the client & then, pop, I just go for it!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a Californina licensed cosmotogist & licensed salon owner. After beauty college I got accepted to work in Beverly Hills as an apprenitice but the owner was taken by the way I cut hair so he gave me a chair & I started cutting clients...The 1st client was Jamie Lee Curtis of all people...I've done photo sessions, magazine shoots, Academy Awards presentors, winners & nominations. Also did hair for The Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, Tony Awards & films & private celebrity clients in their homes.

The fee for my services depends on whether they come to me or I go to them. I have more of an upscale cliental. I'm willing to discuss that ahead of time with a potential client before booking an appointment after I find out what their needs are...Special assignments can be negotiated.
How did you get started in this business?
I went straight from Beauty College to working in Beverly Hills & in the Entertainent Industy.
What types of customers have you worked with?
ALL types, BUT mostly those in the Entertainment Industry, Actors/Actresses, Directors, Producers, Writers & Heads Of Studios.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
1) Being able to give back and having the honor of giving a complimentary haircut for someone hair who hadn't had a job in a while and needed a "new look" as they look for a work.
2) Cutting the hair of the Producer of the current film "Wonder Woman" and getting to go to the premiere & after party!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Get a referral, make sure they communicate with you, understand your needs, listen to your boundaries & honor them & not surprise with you with some whacked off non consensual haircut that takes 6 months to grow out. But be open to what the expert says & suggests. Compromise is good too if you are not totally ready to unlease your inner unicorn! Bring photos of what you like & loathe...Make sure they are not rushed or overbooked, distracted or talking on their cell phone...
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are your expections? Are you willing to put in some effort in achieving your look...Bring photos. Be as concise & precise as you can. Make sure they understand your hair & needs & who you are. Do you need other services to achieve the look you guys discussed. Can you hair cooperate with a radical change? Does your significant like short or long hair, is that a factor, if you have kids are they going to hate the new look...How often will you need to come in to maintain this new look?
