Backstage Salon has been described as an industrial glam ~ rock star ~ SoHo ~ tattooed ~ elegant ~ hip salon.
Our highly skilled staff of professionals, many of whom have been working together for years, take enormous pride in everything we do.
From the minute you walk in the door until the minute you leave, we want you to feel comfortable, important and thrilled with your service.
EVERY single day I get to meet with amazing people. Each one who has their own story and their own life experiences to share with me and the staff.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everyone gets a tour of the salon. Our belief is that if you feel comfortable, you will be comfortable.
You will have a consultation with your stylist - sometimes pre appointment, sometimes at the appointment time.
You wil be offered coffee, tea, water and a biscotti. We will give you the wifi information.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am the Hair Traffic Controller. I try to make certain everyone runs on time, all the time.
All of our stylists are licensed and have been woking on their craft from five to more than thirty years.

How did you get started in this business?
I was working at the front desk and the opportunity came up t purchase the salon. My partner, Kathy is a stylist. Together we are a very cohesive team.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Every human type on the planet.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our enitre staff went to an event for one of our stylists family foundation. Our business model is family first, everything beyond that will follow.
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Make sure you are comfortable.
Ask a lot of questions if you are unsure of something.
Pricing should be discussed so you aren't taken by surprise.
In our salon, tips are in cash. That's good to know.
Read reviews - bearing in mind some folks troll sites and give one star and may have never been in the salon.
