What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to speak over the phone to get a sense of what the customer’s expectations are; as well as relay my terms of service. At the end of the session I request that the client rate my service and I also offer an optional rewards program.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Vocational training at BOCES in Dix Hills, NY. Computer training at SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is the standard industry rate for commercial photography. $150 per hour with a minimum of two hours for digital downloads with HD 300dpi JPEG's. that are licenced for news editorial use.
How did you get started in this business?
I started working as an assitant to a Fashion Catalog Photographer in NYC. Commerical production for fashion advertising.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Publicist and Event Producers needing news related photo coverage. Corprate headshots and actor's headshots. I've done considerable work in the fashion industry. I create look books, online flip-books and other graphic tools that help sell apparel.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Customers should have a sense of how they wish to sell themselves or the product. Editorial style portraits are more casual, but it conveys more about your character. Formal corporate portraits convey a degree of professionalism.
