Darrah Photo
About
Our 3000 sf studio specializes in classic, timesless portraiture. Our studio offers access to a large selection of baby and children clothing for our clients' use. Grey Darrah is a Certified Professional Photographer (only 2% of photographers are certified). An experience in our studio is unlike any other.
We love getting to know our clients and their children. We want to create art for your home that just happens to have your children in it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Sessions last as long as we need them to in order to make sure we and the client feel like all desired moments are captured. A week or so later the client returns for a "viewing" appointment where they will review their images in a slide show. The portrait selections are made at that time and approximately 6 weeks later, their printed portraits are ready.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Grey Darrah has been a photographer since 1985. He trained under his mentors, Tim Kelly and Rod Evans. He has passed the exams and certifications by the Professional Photographers of America.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Studio sessions are $350 and include a $700 print credit. A client handbook with pricing is provided for all clients.
How did you get started in this business?
Grey Darrah was a photographer in the U.S. Marine Corp and the passion never faded. He grew up as the son of an artist and has always had an eye for the beautiful.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of our clients are families, whether new parents with newborns or teenagers. We also photograph a lot of pets!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Every year, our studio has a "Dog Days of Summer" pet food drive for our local Humane Society. Each client is provided a free 5x7 print of their pet as long as they donate a bag of pet food at the time. We have a week-long blast photographing dogs and cat and sometimes other animals. We love it!
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Look at the photographers style of work and if it is beautiful to you and what you are looking for, hire them. If their style is not exactly your style, find someone else that is more your style.
What questions should customers think through before talking to vendors about their needs?
Quality of products, pricing and guarantees.
