WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

DISCOVERY CALL

After your initial inquiry email we’ll set up a time for a call. In this call we’ll take the time to get to know one another to ensure we are a proper fit. This call is super important to me as this is when I get to know you, your brand and what you stand for. We’ll unpack it all in this call and set up a game plan on how I can best serve you. Following the call you’ll receive an email containing a custom package tailored to your needs.

PLANNING PHASE

Here we get down to the nitty gritty details of your shoot. We’ll plan a rough draft of your timeline and start selecting locations. We’ll also dive into planning what shots are a must for you and which ones will display your message effectively. During this phase I encourage my clients and I to share a mood board to help each other communicate our ideas. At the end of this phase we should have a clear idea on locations, timeline and a general vibe for the shoot.

PICKING OUT THE DETAILS

Now here comes the fun part! In this phase we will determine wardrobe and props to use at each location. Don’t worry if this kind of stuff intimidates you! My job is to help guide you through this step. You won’t be left hanging here. As part of your package you’ll be able to determine if you want me to handle hunting down props or if you would like to handle it yourself.

ORGANIZING THOUGHTS

Now that we solidified location, timeline, necessary shots, wardrobe and props its time to put it all together. In this phase I’ll input everything from our planning phase into an organized shot list to use the day of the shoot. This will allow everyone involved to know what is going to happen when and where. Having everything planned and organized will ensure a successful and effective shoot.

DAY OF THE SHOOT

The big day is here! All that planning is about to pay off. Following the shot list we’ll finally start to bring your vision to life. The goal here is to get you as much content as possible so we’ll be moving at a good pace. Even though we’re going to be moving at a faster pace, I still aim to create a relaxed and fun environment to ensure that my client can feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

AFTER THE SHOOT

After we complete the shoot now the rest of the work falls onto me. All the amazing content from the shoot will be processed and delivered in a timely manner. My typical turn around time is 2-4 weeks (rush orders are available for an extra fee). Your images will be delivered in a digital gallery made just for you. From the gallery you’ll be able to download your high resolution images. Upon delivery I may ask you for feedback to ensure that you are satisfied with your experience and images.

Let me take you back to 2014 when I finally saved up enough money to get my very first camera. The pure exitement of finally being able to learn a skill that I dreamed of learning since I was a young girl in high school. I started out focusing mostly on landscapes and still life compositions, but once I dove into photography more I discovered how much fun portraits can be. It is so satisfying being able to stretch my creativity to bring someone’s personality and story out in a composition. My new found passion for photography took over and my original major in Anthropology was no longer my focus. I believe many aspects of anthropology ended up transpiring in my photographic style. Capturing the elements of what makes a person who they are and what encompasses their story is a driving force behind what I do.
