What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
They view our website at: www.devriesphoto.com , then we talk on the phone or they stop in to meet us personally at our downtown Zeeland Studio. We schedule the photography, show them the image choices immediately or post them securely on-line. The client chooses their favorites, we artwork the poses to their specifications and we e-mail, burn a DVD, put on a thumb drive or make beautiful prints in a variety of professional finishes (canvas, metal and traditional prints).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
deVries has been in business for well over 100 years and 3-generations of deVrieses.

Bankers, large corporations (Herman Miller, Chemical Bank & FifthThird Bank), newborns, Underclass photos, High School Graduation, Weddings, corporate retirements, execuatives portraits (in-studio & on location), large staff group photos, advertising/marketing/product photography and magazine covers and article illustrations.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Photographing a multiracial family of 4, from an unusual perspective to show the deep love they have for one-another.
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Interview them to know your personalities "click", since you are wanting your very best to be preserved for others to view.
See their work, and notice how they use light to create dimensions and detail in their photography.
What questions should customers think through before talking to vendors about their needs?
How are you going to use these photos?
Do you what the photographer to keep a permanent record for your future needs or do you want to be responsible for the preservation of the images yourself?
What is the final quality you want? Billboards? Books? 4 foot x 6 foot Wall Prints? Low resolution e-mail size electronic files? We can show you all of these!
The "depth" (a measure of quality) will be more apparent if you are photographed with "full frame" camera equipment as well as the number of pixels in each capture. We use only professional cameras and lighting equipment.
