Rebecca Renato does all types of sewing including small furniture and auto upholstery, but we spacialize in men and womens made to order garments and alterations. We also offer 24 hour turnaround on some alterations.
The owner has more than 30 years in the garment construction industry.
I've been sewing since i was a child, and 30 years ago I realized I had a passion for sewing. I do all types of sewing and love everything about it.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting to know what they like, making a color and size chart. Then determining what they need and for what event or occasion, and of course when the item will be used.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Studied at FIDM in Los Angeles, the rest is work and life experience.

Minor work has set prices, custom work is priced by the hour.
How did you get started in this business?
I've been sewing since I was a child. I've worked in about every sewing industry their is along with retail clothing, costuming for theater, and a number of other industries, and it all lead to creating Rebecca Renato tailoring.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with and for people from all walks of life, and that's literal.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Going to watch a client perform for the first time. I happen to be making a dress for a Mother's Day concert she was doing.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you choose someone that is willing to do the work to your personal specifications, but won't do it if it doesn't compliment you in every way. Someone that's not afraid of being honest.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What they want, the color, the fabric, the season, and most importantly how the garment will hang on their body.
