About

I love my job! Photography is an amazing way to creatively represent how I see something. I create photographs that are unique and timeless. They hold a memory in a special way that is personal to my clients. I work with them to create an image that will be cherished and fought over as a family heirloom by future generations.

I've been a professional photographer for over 25 years and an avid hobbiest for almost 40 years. I have experience with not only family and portrait photography, but also fashion and event genres as well.

    Frequently asked questions

My initial contact is either a phone interview or a coffee shop meetup to get to know each other and be confident that it is a good fit to work together. We set our session date. We have our session, which is usually about 1-3 hours depending on what type of shoot it is. They have an edited portfolio to view within two weeks. They can order from the gallery and/or share with family and friends.

I have two decades working professionally and over 4 decades as an avid hobbiest. I'm a self-taught and evolve photographer.

I do have a standard pricing system for my shoots as well as print products. It varies depending on the type of shoot, how long and what stylized work is involved.

Professionals, families, individuals, corporate and actors.

I had a senior shoot with a client this fall. I've known her for a number of years but not as a client. We had a session of about 3 hours ( including hair and makeup). She's a sweet quiet girl and I was worried that it would be hard to get her out of her shell. We had a wonderful time and afterwards she said that it made her feel special that I took such time with her. When the proofs came in she was blown away, not only was she thrilled, but her mother said that they were amazing and "her" all at the same time. That's always one of my goals with my clients, to make them feel at ease and create images that not only flatters them but highlights their individuality and uniqueness in a realistic way.

First, research their portfolio. They should be able to provide examples of their work. Second, be sure they are truly "professional" not just someone that got a camera for their birthday. Lastly, meet with them and come with desciptions of what you are looking for from the photographer and from the final images. No one should ever be fearful and asking questions to ensure they are getting exactly what they want.

My very first question I ask is "why are you looking to hire a photographer?" It seems silly but you'd be surprised how many people cant put into words exactly why they want professional images. Also, meet with them at the very least on the phone, but if you can meet face to face. It always helps during the session to have met each other before.
