Each custom ceremony is written up by me to match your lifestyle, cultural backgrounds, faith-orientation, and personal preferences. It's YOUR Special Day, and should reflect YOUR ideas & wishes: I'll fashion your ceremony to be as simple or fancy, traditional or outside-of-the-box as you'd like, and work with you to make your vision become a reality!
(By way of credentials, I've been doing ceremonies all over NC & SC since 1996, & received Thumbtack's "Top Pro" Award for five years straiighe, with more than 170 five-star reviews on their site!)
It's never the same! And I meet so many wonderful people as I officiate their ceremonies . . . some of whom I am still in contact with years later! I can't think of lifework I would rather be doing.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial email or phone contact establishes our basic rapport, which is important! I'll need your email address, to send you your WEDDING REGISTRATION FORM. Upon receipt of your non-rerfundable Retainer, I'll email you my CEREMONY ELEMENTS SELECTIONS, from which you may choose what you want to include in your ceremony . . . or else you may submit selections from other resources. You are invited to contact me at any time from 9:00AM to 8:00PM between first contact and "I Do", with any questions you may have about my services!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
College-educated, I've been officiating ceremonies for over 24 years . . . and I love what I do!!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My fees for officiating vary between $99.00 and $250.00 . . . depending on the size of the wedding and distance of travel I have to drive to get there. Feel free to call me at any time during my office hours to discuss this.
How did you get started in this business?
My daughter had a near-disastrous experience arranging her own wedding, which highly motivated me to enter into this service, seeing there was a definite need for understanding and compassion and skills, to help bridal couples navigate this most-important day in their lives!!! I have never regretted that decision.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Oh my goodness! All kinds! Every age, background, and attitude, sometimes including quirky ideas. I welcome same-sex couples and couples from non-traditional backgrounds. And I have only once or twice in over 23 years encountered a "Bridezilla" . . . probably because I really care about my bridal couples and the quality of service I offer them!!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I officiated a wedding on a speedboat on a NC lake. At ceremony time, they only had one witness and were frantic how to resolve this, since NC requires two witnesses over the age of 18. We approached another boat with two couples, one person of which was engaged in a phone call, and we asked them if one of them would be legal witness to the ceremony. They said "Yes", and we lashed the boats together, successfully completing the ceremony. Afterward, the newly married couple surprised us by jumping off the stern of the boat into the lake ~ with their clothes on!
Two weeks later, I got a call from an out of state couple wanting to know if I could officiate a wedding ceremony in the same area, at a lakeside property in NC. I told them, "Sure; I just did a wedding there a couple weeks ago." The groom exclaimes, "OH!!! That was YOU!!" Turns out he was the guy on the other end of the phone call from the speedboat wedding!!!!! (Small world!)
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
As much as possible, RELAX!! This is the most important day of your life, so let's enjoy it. I've been doing this a long time, and I'm good at it . . . And I'll do my very best to help make this a wonderful experience and memory set for you!!!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Share with me, to the best of your ability, what YOU would like your wedding to look/be like. Every wedding has stressors, but the joy of creating your beautiful union goes way beyond any of these. Feel free to ask me any questions about anything that is or might make smooth sailing a challenge for you in creating this Most Special Day!
