Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently, we had a customer who lives locally, but got married out at Montauk Point. Since we had traveled to Rhode Island to do her sister's wedding, she came to us for her wedding. It was a beautiful day for a long early morning drive, & the surroundings were spectalar.
We met her in the morning at the hote, where we delivered her bouquets. We set a beach front ceremony by the lighthouse. Beside centerpieces in varying heights, a garland was draped on the mantle above a 12 foot high fire place.
She could come to us with questions and to see samples without having to dive to mMonatuk each time. That certainly made it much easier for her
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Not all florists are the same. Look for a florist that can work with you? If you know what you want, can they make that happen? If not, can they suggest a substitute? If you have ideas, can they help you make them a reality?
Recommendations are always a great way to start. We get more than 70% of our weddings from referrals
What questions should customers think through before talking to vendors about their needs?
some questons to thing about before talking to a florist:
Do you know what you want?, Do you have a color theme, a favorite flower or a buget?
If you need centerpieces, do you have an idea of what kind of table it would be on. Is a large or small, square, long or round table?
If you need bouquets or corsages, do you know what the person is wearing? Flowers should compliment what someone is wearing in both colors and style
