Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I think it's important to understand the job as well as possible so results and pricing can be on target. During the session, I show my clients the photos as we progress. If possible, I shoot connected to a laptop for ease of viewing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for four years as a photographer in NYC. My first two years were primarily assisting Vogue magazine photographers full time. Afterwards, I shot fashion and headshots. Now, however, most of my work is interiors and architectural -- but I love it all, and have a wide skillset.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Not really. As above, my pricing depends entirely on the assignment. Sometimes many pictures can be achived in a few hours, and other times a whole day is needed. It all depends.
How did you get started in this business?
I began as a photographer's assistant in NYC.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Interior designers, builders, architects, magazines, models and commercial product companies.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Oh, I'm fond of all my "events." Heck, I'm even fond of calling my photo sessions "events"!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Obviously, looking at their portfolio and areas of expertise are primary. My work is on my website and around the web. Please see www.vicwahbyphotography.com
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How experiences a photographer do you need?
Does a photographer share your sense of aesthetics?
Do you need a full day of service, more, or less?
More questions come up as we chat, which is a great next step!
