Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our typical process when working with new customers is to understand what they are looking for from Gentle Giant. We are flexible to their needs and work to accommodate their needs!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Years upon years of customer service through my past life of being a CPA and also servicing customers over the years with passionate bbq!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing may be standard depending on each individual client's needs. Whether it is hosting a party on premises or off-site catering we focus on the client and work the pricing in their favor!
How did you get started in this business?
There was always a passion for great bbq and no great bbq joints in arms reach. Necessity and passion drove us to want to make great bbq for others!
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with all types of customers from friends to family to vice presidents, ceos, and just your average blue collared worker! Everyone is unique and we prefer to treat them that way!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We most recently were invited to participate in the 2018 New York City Food Film Fest and feature some of our food amongst some of the top reviewers/yelpers in NYC!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would tell them to go in and sit down and try their product before you make a decision on bringing them on at a larger scale. Always know what you are getting yourself into and know that you have to trust someone with taking care of feeding you and your guests.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1. Does this work for my budget?
2. Is the product worth it?
3. Is the service worth the smile?
4. Do you want to continue a long standing relationship with this pro?
5. If the initial quote/engagement process does not work for either party, are both still content with a relationship in the future?
