PHOTOGRAPHY QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
WHAT WILL I RECEIVE? 

All images are provided as full resolution on a flash drive. We do not watermark the images, and you can print the images whenever you wish. All packages include an Online Gallery.

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL YOU BRING TO MY WEDDING AND RECEPTION? 

We bring quite a bit of gear to each wedding but we pack it so well you would never know it. Our cameras consist of at least two main DSLR Cameras plus back up cameras for photography, plus two or more for video. We use Nikon, Sony, and Panasonic cameras.

WHAT KIND OF PHOTO BOOK WILL I GET?

Handmade flush mount books. They differ from regular photo books by being hand mounted on thick inner board with real silver halide photo paper. Thus, giving the book many desirable characteristics. Flush mount pages don't bend so they always retain their shape. Our flush mount books have a coating that protects against spills and stains. Our Books will have around 40 Images and usually 24 Pages. 

CAN I GET MORE IMAGES SPREADS/PAGES ON MY PHOTO BOOK? 

You can order extra pages spreads for an additional fee.

HOW DO YOU APPROACH FILMING MY EVENT/WEDDING DAY?

We always take a discreet approach while filming during your wedding day. We believe in being as ‘invisible’ and unobtrusive as possible all the time. 

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL YOU BRING TO MY WEDDING AND RECEPTION?

Our video cameras consist of at least 3 DSLR cameras. We use Panasonic, Nikon, and Sony cameras for video and audio recorders, multiple lenses, and an assortment of stabilizers (tripods, monopods, sliders). 

WHAT WILL I RECEIVE? 

All of our Video clients receive their event/wedding film on USB/Flash drive with the video. We deliver HD videos, MPEG-4 video files that play on PC, Mac computers, mobile devices, smart TVs, video game systems, Roku box, Apple TV and more) 

USB Thumb Drive: The best way to view and store your memories. Our USB stick comes in a beautiful case and is the easiest way to share your memories and not have to worry about your discs being scratched, lost or broken. Files on USB are in full HD quality and is just as clear and sharp as a Blu-ray disc.

WHAT ABOUT DVD DISK

DVD-video, although great, have 4 times less resolution (video quality) than HD-video. Also, they are encrypted and are more difficult to copy, deteriorate, and stop working over time. DVD-drives are not present in some new computers. DVD-video conversion is available. 

HOW MANY CAMERAS DO YOU USE FOR VIDEO? 

Typically two to three simultaneously. This may vary according to the package you reserve and its inclusions. Most packages include a lead videographer and an assistant, which means they will both be filming the most important parts of the wedding for better coverage. Some videographers may capture B-roll footage or backup footage with an additional camera as well. WE HAVE BACK UP CAMERAS. 

HOW LONG IS THE FEATURE FILM? 

We offer Cinematic Highlight film and Full Feature films.

Cinematic Highlight films are condensed short edits, they include the highlights of your day and are created to be enjoyable to watch over and over again. Usually on the shorter side (4-8 minutes). This style aims to increase the emotional impact through use of creative camera angles, slow motion and transition effects non-chronological order and dramatic music.  It is intended to be shared with friends and family

Full Feature films (Long documentary film) focuses on capturing the day as it happens and include full ceremony, dances and speeches in chronological order with some cinematic scenes. Usually 45 to 60 minutes or more and is intended for personal viewing

In our experience as professional wedding videographers, a traditional ‘Documentary’ style video, while still a beautiful record of the day, is long and can be quite tedious. Our goal is to produce a wedding film that you’ll actually want to watch over and over again.

CAN WE ORDER ADDITIONAL COPIES OF OUR VIDEO? CAN WE PURCHASE THE RAW UNEDITED VIDEO? 

Certainly. Additional copies of your video or photography can be added to your package. You can order extra copies even after your wedding day. See package page for pricing.
You can also order Raw unedited video delivered on USB or Hard Drive, but unless you are a video editor, the footage will be difficult to enjoy. Unedited clips from your event will be many separate clips (sometimes hundreds of clips) with external audio.

DO YOU HAVE BACK UP GEAR? 

Yes, we do.

DO YOU HAVE A DRONE?

 YES! but with all the FAA new limitations and laws we limit the use of drones only to venues. We also will look at the surrounding locations of the venue and the weather. Drone service is included in some video packages an add-on service for photography, see our packages for pricing.

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

Yes, we do.We do local and destination weddings.

DO YOU HAVE TRAVEL FEES

there is no travel fee for NY, NJ or CT weddings. Destination weddings will include travel expenses. Destinations are custom packages and we will finalize a pack price at our meeting.

CAN WE PICK OUR MUSIC?

Our productions are full service and we do not burden our clients with anything like that. Unlike many years ago when video was not popular or posted online for the world to see, music for all films must be licensed properly for it to be used legally. A lot of time and thought is put into each song to make sure it's the right fit for the emotion of that scene. So we ask that we always pick what works best for the films. However If you a song that is important to you we can try to find a way to use it

Most pop music (radio music) cost thousands of dollars to get the rights to use in a production. Yes even in a wedding video. It is illegal to get music from iTunes and put it in your videos. Online site such as Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook and so on, scan the videos for music. Copyright claims can be made against your video and the company or personal accounts without the proper licensing of songs and the video could be blocked and our channel could be suspended.

The only songs we will use are in our long-form video, our 45min documentaries are 3 songs that are used from the live sound (incidental music) of what was recorded from our cameras. These songs are Your First Dance and Parent Dances. This is where a gray area falls as this is a live event and it was the “incidental music” in the background. These long-form videos are not posted to social media in any way and are only included in your final presentation on a more private digital streaming service. This does not mean that at some point these services will not include new technology to find these kinds of incidental music in the backgrounds of videos and flag our site but its the best thing we have on the market today

WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF THE VIDEOS?

Everything is filmed in 4K and HD format. You will get a digital version on a USB drive. This is the best way for you to get a video today. This will give you the ability to put your films any place like, computers, phones, tablets and streaming to TVs. We also offer DVD & Blu Rays as add-ons.

HOW TO PICK YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?

Know what questions to ask when you meet your photographer. Here is what you should look for. Does your photographer has good quality images (not too orange, overexposed, over edited?) 

-Do the photographs have an altered color or filter that is not natural or timeless? 

-Does the photographer fit the style that you are looking for? Soft, dreamy, modern, funky etc 

-How long does your photographer take to deliver images? Don’t get caught with someone who over-promises and doesn’t deliver. My brides see a preview in 48 hours or less and all the images in 2-4 weeks. 

-Does the photographer guaranty the 2nd shooter can provide the same level of quality? 

-Will you photographer provide an album that will stand the test of time? Are the pages waving or warping? 

-Does your photographer have experience? 

-How long does it take to get an album? 

Often times photographer make you choose your wedding album pictures leaving you frustrated, and without an album for years. 

-Ask the photographer if he has experience in a wedding like yours. 

-Ask a photographer what will happen if they wake up sick the day of your wedding day or any other crazy situation to see if they can think on their toes. 

-Do you like your photographer? You will be in contact with your photographer before, during, and after the wedding. Make sure they have a personality you like.
