What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There are two way...a walk in customer is always welcome, we are very good at taking ideas and putting a work of art together for you same day. For those who wish to consult, we can always discuss ideas and get a design together and set an appointment for a later date.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Many of us have been tattooing for years and have vast knowledge in tattooing and art. We are required to complete our yearly blood-borne pathogens training and keep up to date on that and first aid as well.

We price by the piece...it is subject to size, detail and location so it can vary from person to person and design to design.
How did you get started in this business?
We have been open since 2001 and were one of the first shops in Cleveland. Our founder, Jim Hayden started off tattooing locally and decided to open his own shop and we have grown ever since and now have three locations.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked on all kinds of different people, from the very day person to celebrities and athletes like Lebron, Shaq, Keisha Coles, and man many more, but we treat everyone with respect and kindness. We have worked on dark skin, light skin, old skin, young and old and different styles as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We are the official tattooers of Anytime Fitness. Every year we get flown out to conferences and tattoo their logos or anything fitness related for their members. It’s a fun and great experience and this will be our 6th year doing it!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Definitely take a look at their portfolios and make sure they have blood-borne certifications and knowledge. Some shops use metal tubes which are cleaned in a machine called an autoclave. If so, make sure you see them take them out of a sealed package and check the test strip inside for proper sterilization. Needles should be prepackaged and never reused. We use disposables at our shop so we are all good!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
It helps to have all your ideas together as well as the location on your body you would like the tattoo. Do you want color or black and grey? What style are you looking for? Also, tattoos turn out better if you have an idea but if a pro gives you input, I suggest you take the advice as they know what will or won’t work well as a design or tattoo. Remember you are hiring a pro and they will charge for their time and talent. Good tattoos aren’t cheap and cheap tattoos aren’t good. Also if you are happy with the work, show them appreciation and tip! Thanks!
