Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe that a first impression is always the most important process in working with a new client! I like to get to know my clients on a personal level before I even work with them. I will usually touch base with them via email, phone calls or texts a few times before we actually meet, just so we all feel comfortable when we first meet! My approach to photography is laid back and fun. I want my clients to feel free and comfortable to be themselves in front of my camera because I feel that they make the BEST photos.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been practicing photography since I was 18. I am going on my 11th year of working professionally. I have learned and have grown so much since then. This industry is always changing so I feel like I am constantly growing and educating myself to provide the best services to my clients with creativity, image quality and professionalism. I have photographed everything from apartment complexes to weddings.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

Portrait session fees are always $100
Disks and prints are sold separately. A full-res disk runs $200 and prints start at $12.
How did you get started in this business?
I grew up watching my dad do photography as a hobby and I have always enjoyed it. I got my first "real" camera when I was 18. I started dabbling in it for fun, but it wasn't until my oldest was a year old when I started to make photography a source of income for my family. Now, 11 years later I have learned that photography isn't just another source of income for my family, it is my passion and my gifting. If a family is EVER in need of ANYTHING I will do my best to work with budgets and provide quality services for everyone.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with couples, babies, children, families, church's, businesses, etc. You name it, I've probably photographed it! I have learned that I really enjoy photographing high school seniors, families and weddings. I work with ALL kinds of budgets. I believe that everyone has the right to have quality images no matter what their budget looks like. I do my best to make it work for everyone.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I used to photograph births. Unfortunately I had to cut back on those due to my busy work and family schedule. I really enjoyed those. I haven't photographed a birth yet that hasn't brought a flood of emotions to suface. I am a mother! Every birth I've ever photographed had brought me back to that moment MY life changed forever. There is no better feeling than a feeling of anticipation, love and sometimes even fear. But it's all worth it in the end, knowing that I have captured what is probably the most important event in a parent's life!
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Look for somebody with EXPERIENCE and knows what they are doing. Don't be afraid to ask questions. What experience do they have? Have they had to deal with difficult situations before? Do they have an assistant available? Do they have a BACKUP camera and equipment? All of those are vital when considering hiring a professional photographer.
