Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is simple we ask the client what kind of photos they desire. We try to meet those desires, and the images the client is invisioning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been taking family portraits, infant photos, senior portraits and weddings for over 20 years. I started a small business on my own in Houston Texas, and continued a business with my sister in Missouri and now have reopened in Pennsylvania. I have photographed many people in many different places.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Like most photographers we have a starting price for portraits of $150.00. Wedding photography starting package is $650 depending on how many hours we are asked to attend.
How did you get started in this business?
My mother was a photographer. I use to love to watch her take photographs. As soon as I graduated high school I purchased my first camera. It was film camera. I never stopped learning or never stopped taking pictures. They are part of who I am.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of customers from small children, to the older generation. Recently I did a photo shoot with multi generations in the photograph.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Every year I look forward to volunteering at the Night to Shine foundation. It is a yearly event for those who are disable or have down syndrom. It is a Tim Timbow event. He does a prom. I bring my camera and volunteer my time to capture that event from the girls getting ready, to the limo rides, to the dancing. It is an incredible opportunity and priviledge for me to give back to my community in a small way.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
If your event is a wedding I suggest never ever hire a single shooter. One person can not capture every moment. Two people cant either but we cover alot more ground than a single shooter. Remember that one of the most expensive aspects to your wedding is the photographer. They are worth the money for the memories they will capture. Be sure that the photographer has experience in weddings. This moment is too important for you to worry about cost over quality. We at A M Photography Forever provide cost and quality.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Be sure you know how many hours you desire the photographer. Whether the photographer charges a fee for traveling. Lastly be sure what you are paying for. Is it for the time of the photographer? Some photographs do not provide galleries, or albums as part of their package price. Read the fine print.
