When working with a new client, I love to jump on a phone conference with the client to better understand their needs for their event and start building a trusting relationship. I discuss the options they have along with the packages I feel best suit their needs. Once they review the pricing and packages, I then book their event and start the planning process!
I have been working as a an event planner for 3 years. My responsibilites as the owner of Plisful Planning varies from daya to day. I provide a wide range of events from Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Sweet Sixteens, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Corporate Events and more! I either coordinate the events with the client in regards to decor and/or i can assist clients directing with the whole party planning process.
Planner Pricing varies from the size of event and the amount of work that needs to be done. There is an unlimited amount of emails and phone calls that I can provide to the client once they book their planner.
The Event Planning world has brought out the unique talent I have for planning a successful event from start to finish. Working one on one with clients has taught me interpersonal skills as well as building a trusting relationship that clients look for when hiring an event planner.
I have worked with a diverse amount of clients. I have coordinated a Wedding of 50 people to a Gala of 750 people. I have also worked with clients that have a budget of $2500 and clients who have an unlimited budget.
I had a bride come to me to plan their Secret Garden Themed Wedding. We envisioned bringing in a hand carved wooden door with a beautiful 5 pound lock that our guys installed with an archway of gnarley branches and miscellaneous nursery stock. The Bride was Scottish and she wanted a love knot for a photo op. We designed this knot with 2,500 carnations in the shape of a knot. It was an amazing photo op and all of the guests were stunned at the decor we provided. It was breathtaking walking into the ballroom and seeing the decor come to life.
The advice that i would provide to a client about hiring an experienced Decor company and party planner would be to put together a budget that you want to spend in every area of your event, such as catering, flowers, decor, photography etc. This breakdown will make the process easier in the end. We have brides that can into our office and do not have a budget for decor for their wedding. We have a more difficult time with showing them options for bouquets, centerpieces and overall decor because we do not want to show a client something that is not in their price range. This helps the process to be more effective and run more smoothly.
I think that customers need to have a sense of what their vision is for their event, as well as their budget. It is the decor companys job to prepare decor for an event that can meet the requirements of both.
