Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always sit down with the client to discuss his/her event. I am not one of those DJs who has you fill out a form and says "See you the day of your event." I like for my clients to know that they are in good hands. Plus I do not book for someone else. Right off the bat, you know who is working your event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
23 years in the DJ / Music business. I typically work over 95 weddings and events in a year. I have run multiple clubs in the DFW as the head programmer, production and DJ. Some clubs include, Cowboys Red River & Cowboys Arlington for 12 years, Southern Junction in Royce City for over 5 years. I also did music for the Dallas Stars NHL Hockey Team and annouced as well for UFC and MMA events. I worked in other clubs in Tucson, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Whitcha, Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I try to fit a price based on the event itself. Whether its a wedding, party, prom, etc.
How did you get started in this business?
23 years working in Tucson, they handed me a microphone and rest is history.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Also ask the important questions, if I booked you, who would be there? A lot of companies, you hire one person and someone else shows up. In some cases, you don't know who your DJ is until the week of. I am not one of those DJs.
Make sure the DJ has all the music with them. Some DJs try and "stream" their music. If they do not have wifi or cell service, you have no music. Avoid those DJs.
