How did you get started in this business?
I've been passionate about cooking since age 8. I enrolled in culinary school in 2006 and have been a professional chef since. Started as a line cook and made it all the way to Food and Beverage Operations Director to owning my own business. I went the extra mile and received several certificates in specialized diets and cooking techniques as well as a diploma in nutrition.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with children to the elderly. Regular diets to renal diabetics. I also have experience with vegetarian, keto, gluten free, and low carb, high protein.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I must say that working at the Four Seasons, Hyatt Regency, and country clubs creates great memories. The very best experience I've had is cooking for the homeless. They often get soups or casseroles but they dine like kings when we're around. Nothing beats giving back!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask and probe! Ask for past experiences and training. Pics are very helpful.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Is there a trial period? Does the look of the food appeal to me? Does the personality of the caterer mesh with mine?
