Exposed Moxie Photography
About
I don't expect you to know how to look good in front of the camera, that's my job. I create an environment where you're comfortable, and can be your authentic self. There's no pressure, I've studied photography for over ten years and make it my job to know what to do so you can show up and relax knowing we're going to get the images you need. Getting in front of the camera is kind of uncomfortable; not for everyone but certainly for most. I get to see people go through the awkward what do I do stage, to really owning who they are all in small window of time. It's inspiring, and I'm grateful I'm able to help bring that out.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depending on the time frame. Ideally, a consultation would be a good first step. We meet and get to know each other a bit. You tell me what exactly you're looking for to ensure we're a good fit. Day of shoot it's not unusual to have your makeup done and change outfits and sets a few times. After we wrap the shoot we relax and look at your images together. It's not typically what I'd call a quick process but all the little details matter and help make working with me an amazing experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ten+ year of experience and plenty of traditional and on traditional training.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge per image meaning you only pay for what you love and have to have. It's important to know up front that I do not release unedited or RAW images. Editing is part of my brand-unedited or RAW images are essentially an unfinished product. I find t is also beneficial to know that for every image you purchase you get a high resolution digital with a print release so you can print wherever you please. We do have professional printing services available but at an additional charge.
How did you get started in this business?
I've been photographing friends and family for years, but I never took my camera off the auto settings. One day I found myself running for my camera to grab a macro shot (ask if you want to hear more it's a little bizarre). I snapped the most intriguing shot and I felt such a sense of pride-like "Yea, I did that." It was then I decided to make a go for it "for real." I don't do anything unless I can give it 110%. So, I decided to go back to school to get a second Bachelors in Fine Arts. There is where my real quest for skill and knowledge began.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All sorts, but I specialize in headshots and personal branding. My clientele includes a variety of actors, models, working professionals, busy moms, and families that like the classic approach to portraiture. you come to me when you really need to start connecting with your clients and putting your face on your brand.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A shoot can range from 15 minutes to 2 hours typically. It all depends on the project and what you're comfortable with. For example, with corporate headshots it would be unheard of for me to spend two hours with each employee but for an model makeup alone can take an hour! I should also note that I take the time to make sure you are happy and comfortable with what we're doing.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find someone you're comfortable with and make sure you consider their style. Their work is a good representation of what they will produce for you. I work very hard for each individual client to make sure I am delivering what you see in my portfolio. Trust the process and you too wil see the same results!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Try to have an idea of what you want to do with the images. Do you want them printed and on a wall, are you emailing or sharing on social media? That helps us know how to ensure you have exactly what you need.
