What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I find out what they want out of a session and make suggestions if they don't have a preference for a location.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have apprenticed under Tom Hills for 20 years and have done sports, animal, wedding, family and senior portraits as well as head shots for book jackets and business cards.  We can cover about anything but newborn and bourduior photography.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

Wedding's usually run about $1000 for 4-5 hours and up to $1500 for 8-10 hours or distance locations.  All pictures are put on a USB thumb drive with reprint rights and web hosting and printing services.

Other sessions be it family, animal or senior pictures run about $200 for up to 4 hours time and pictures are on a USB thumb drive.

Retouching, editing and specialty graphics are included. No extra charge.

How did you get started in this business?

I have taken pictures all my life and have constantly strived to perfect my craft.  I love working with digital format and using filters and effects to enhance my photos.  I also work with Chromagenic photo effects to merge custon backgrounds to photos taken in our studio.  Wek can customize almost anything.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with a variety of people.  I love shooting horse shows, both English and western for the speed effects and jumping.  Senior portraits are fun as I can creat custom memories from high school depending on the subjects interests and time constraints.  I once worked with a senior who wanted to show off his jacket logo the was created for his school and was not available any where except on the jacket and I merged them with the use of a green screen with his senior formal portrait as the background.  I also love photograping western speed sports to get the horses in action.

Families are fun too as children grow up all to soon and those memories will last forever.  Posed ad action shots are both fun depending on what the client wants.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Recently we did a wedding portrait session with a bride who had a dream to be photographed on a horse in her wedding gown.  We made it happen with the help of her friend ad her friends horse shadow.  I also did a cool senior session at Tredegar Iron Works and Potterfield Bridge with beautiful views of the city of Richmond and the James river in the background.
