What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In order to have a smooth process, communication is very important. I ask a lot of questions and I expect lots of questions from clients towards me.
I like to meet with clients prior to the photo session but if that is not possible then FaceTime or Zoom meetings are preferred.
Photography sessions can be very private and intimate, especially maternity photo sessions and boudoir so I want my clients to feel as comfortable as possible. It's one of the main reasons, I offer mobile indoor photography. Yes, I have to set up all of my equipment, stands, lights, etc but if it means a more positive and comfortable experience for my clients then it is worth it!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In 1993, as a Junior in high school, I was accepted to the prestigious private photography college called Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California. At that time, I was the youngest person ever to have been accepted into the college.
