Scheduling Alterations at Susan’s Couture
Your First fitting should be at least two to Six months before your wedding date because of the busy summer seasons, appointments books up quickly.
· At the time of your first fitting you will bring the shoe and any undergarment that you wish to wear with your wedding gown.
· The first fitting takes 45 minutes and at that time you will be given a quote of what the alteration will cost.
· All the pinning for the bodice, hem and bustle will be done at this time. Giving you a chance to see what the finish produce will look like.
· This is the time, that I look forward to your input on the style of the bustles you would like and if you want to have cups or a bra sewn into your dress. Some dresses have a very low cut back, so modifying a supportive bra can be the best solution to sewing in cups if your bust is larger than a B cup.
· After your fitting we will set up a time for your second fitting and the date when you wish to pick up your dress. There will also be a deposit paid at this time which is half of the cost of your alteration.
· In most cases you will only need two fitting, but if I feel you need a third fitting, I will call you and figure out a time that works best for you.
· Your first appointment will be on a Saturday or if week night works best for you. I realize most people work and weekend are best for most of my clients.
