Mangia Bene is run by a working owner, all events are overseen and directed by the company owner which creates a personal connection for your events. We are interested in streamlining the experience for our customers and bundle; providing extra services like event planning and coordination and equipment rental.
I enjoy the personal connection I have with my clients and staff. When we cater we cater as though we are planning and cooking an event for our friends and family.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a potential client is interetsed in more information we email an "Event Worksheet", a short questionnaire. Once we get the filled in questionaire back we send them a rough quote. We then set a time to meet and begin the planning and fine-tuning for the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in the food industry for 40 years in all capacities; restaurants, front of house, executive chef, general manager, pastry chef and have owned and operated my business for 20 years.
My formal education is in theatre and art so I have a strong aesthetic which I carry throughout my business in both taste and presentation.
I have a deep committment to the service industry and community.

All events are individually priced based on guest counts, type of food and clients budget.
How did you get started in this business?
I started in the food business in my teen years and worked all through high school and college. I loved and still do all aspects of my business; planning menus. client interface, presentation and the naturally creative rythym of catering. each job/evetn is unique.
I describe my work as "being on the back of a wild animal running through the jungle, you never know which way he'll run". It is a dynamic and very creative job. I have gotten good at absorbing stress so my clients can be calm before and during their events.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types; large and small events. tTose with lots of resources and those with limited resources. We absolutely do not discriminate in any way shape or form. Everyone should be able to have a beautiful event.
