DJ Hoe
About
Musically insightful, eclectic and unpredictable (depending on who's paying), delivered with a minimum of fuss and drama.
There's really nothing quite like making music for the people. Sharing your discoveries and favorites with an audience and taking them on a musical journey, corny as that sounds.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Work out the budget, sound setup and setlist requirements, if any.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Experience, principally. I've learned from the DJ's I've opened for and listen to, from BT (Brian Turner), Paul Oakenfold, Mark Farina, Junkie XL and the like, as well as radio DJ's from Gary Calamar to Jason Bentley.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We're communists: we try to charge people according to their ability to pay.
How did you get started in this business?
By accident: I got jumped in to play a "non-DJ" DJ night at an LA Lounge in 2002 and fell in love with it after that. But have been following DJ's since club days in NYC in the 80's.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Every single kind, from Match.com to brands like Adidas and VW to film festivals to celebrities.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look under the hood but be willing to take a chance.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What kind of music do you want and why? Do you want to reassure your guests or educate them? Are you better safe than sorry? Do you want your guests to dance? Is it going to rain?
