Audiences of all ages and back grounds have enjoyed the comedy and magic of Mark Kiyabu. His artistry and unique local style of magic continues to amaze audiences. Mark Kiyabu is from Honolulu, Hawaii. He was first introduced to the world of magic by his mentor and first teacher in magic Mr. Jimmy Yoshida. At the age of eight, his journey into magic began. He performed his first professional show at the age of twelve.
Mark Kiyabu is an award winning, comedy magician. A 6-time winner of the International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 96 standup stage and closeup competition.
In 2017 Mark was voted the "People's Choice Award" by the audience members at the IBM magic competition in Seal Beach, California. He is an experience professional performing in Southern California, South Bay, and Los Angeles area since 1980. Mark is a member of the International Brothehood of Magicians (IBM) and the Society of American Magicians (SAM).

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, my response time is within 24 hours through email or phone call. Every event is very special and unique, so therefore I ask a few questions in order to provide the best possible show.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My journey into magic started at the age of 8. I performed my first professional show at the age of 12. I have been performing for over forty years in corporate events, theaters, and special events.

Depending on the length of time, location, and availability, prices may vary. However, everyone has a budget when planning an event. I am flexible and willing to work within your budget.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always had the passion to entertain at a young age. Watching the audience with a look of amazement and laughter, brings me joy.

I have worked with event planners, promoters, managers, and everyone else in between.

Recently, I performed in the show Return to Paradise - A Polynesian Review at the Aqua Caliente Casino Showroom in Palm Springs.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When hiring a pro, definitely look at his/her experience and if he/she fits the venue.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
First, have a clear idea of their time, date, area of performance (stage, indoors, outdoors, etc.), amount of people attending, and who would they prefer the show to be entertaining for. For example, will there be children attending (ages), or is the show for adults, or both?
