Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually meet with them and discuss what it is they are wanting from me for their event. I have creaed a "schedule of events" that covers some of the more traditional things at weddings, such as first dance or bouquet toss and much more.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned from the "streets" I had cdj's controllers and my friend and I would do house parties and any other event that our friends were throwing. So my training came from learning the music we played.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I provide my clients with packages offering many different options. This allows them to get the most for their money. Services can include things like uplighting and fog machine or photobooth many things to choose from.
How did you get started in this business?
I have been a DJ since I was in highschool, my best friend and I went into bussiness together. Back then it was mostly house parties, and birthdays so I started from the bottom and slowly started gtting known around town.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types young, Older, Asian, Black , White, Middle eastern, Latino. I think I have worked with many different clientle from all social status as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a client who was very nervous about the music for her reception because she was caucasian and he was African American. So she was not sure how to satisfy both sides of the family I told her not to worry everything is going to work out. Long story short I ended up staying an extra hour because no one seemed to leave they all had a blast.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do your research. Read reviews and call and ask questions.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
They should ask if the person they are hiring is the same person who will be at their event.
They should also get a clear answer on what services they are getting from that company
