    Frequently asked questions

When we are contacted by a new customer, we suggest to start the process by offering a free consultation to give the customer an opportunity to see us in person and get answers for the most pressing questions they might have. If the client prefers to have the consultation over the phone, via text or email, that is perfectly OK with us as well.

We prefer to meet at the venue selected for the celebration, may it be a Banquet Hall or the family's backyard, so we can help the potential client begin visualizing the functions of the event. Again, It is OK by us if the potential client prefers meeting at a Café or other convenient public place.

The process may take up to 2 hours, which might include the choosing of the perfect celebration package, any additional options such as lighting or dancers, etc. We will give the client an opportunity to reserve their prefered date and time by signing a contract and paying the retainer. From that point on, we are available 24/7 to answer questions, speak with the other chosen vendors, do any additional site visits, begin working on the music and assist the client in any other manners possible.

Clients that have never had to hire a DJ, Master of Ceremonies or needed the assistance of a professional to help them orchestrate any event, sometimes need to be guided through the lengthy and sometimes complex processes that lead to the day of the party. We achieve the desired effect by a giving the client an Event Planner and Music Worksheet, where ideas and thoughts can be written down, to begin putting together the timeline of the activities of the event.

Our process is so flexible that minor alterations to the timeline or changes to the plans can be made as late as the day of the party.

This complete process, from consultation to execution, helps the uninitiated client feel more comfortable, relaxed and trust in the success of our plans.

Our DJ and Celebration Mastering skills have been acquired from decades of experience, as well as attending workshops, seminars and collaborating with other experienced professionals.

Our entertainers are required to maintain a standard of proficiency, adhere to a strict code of value and maintain their equipment in perfect working order and ready to perform.

Event pricing starts at $150 per hour.

On our website we proudly post prices for our various performance packages, including bonuses such as additional hours, added equipment, extra lighting, and party favors. These packages are designed to ease the process of booking our services while making them accessible to more clients with various budgetary needs.

Back in the early 80's, I started working for a small DJ company as a music purchaser and eventually as a roadie. It was not until 1983 that I had an opportunity to debut as a DJ; and the rest is history.

I've had the opportunity to work at bars, clubs, with corporations, non-profit organizations and private clients with a variety of specialized needs. I've done hundreds of Weddings, Quinceañears, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Reunions, Holiday Parties and Street Festivals...just to name a few.

I've done hundreds of events for the LGBTQ, Hispanic, Filipino, Indian and other communities with their own cultural and religious traditions. I look forward to traveling around the world, by helping even more families with their own diverse identities.

Me and my team recently had the opportunity to perform for the management group at Universal Studios Hollywood. 700 people celebrating the holidays in a Sound Stage that once was the filming location for some cool classic movies. Neat!

We provided a World Champion VJ (Video Jockey), Giant projection screens, Expanded dance floor lighting with special effects and interactive games and activities hosted by me. It all went according to plan and we were even asked to stay an additional hour.

    1) Your event professional should present you with a contract detailing the parameters of the service you are booking. If they do not offer a contract, you better call me.

    2) DJs, Masters of Ceremony and all other event professionals are a service and aside from advising as a benefit of our experience, we are here to ultimately do what you say. Do not put up with DJ Divas.

    3) No question is out of line. Ask what you need to have answered to calm your nerves and thereby be comfortable that you booked the right vendor. If they do not have clear answers for you, it usually means they are confused and out of their league.

    4) If you cannot get a hold of your vendor within a couple of weekdays (not weekends, because they are likely busy), start reconsidering your choices. This is why a contract must be signed.

    5) If your event professional did good by your side, return the favor. After the event, while the facts are still fresh in your mind, write a beautiful lengthy review or referral at their prefered social platform.

Think of what you want and what you don't want in equal measures. This applies to ideas you might have created yourself, seen at other events or gotten from a third party, such as TV or magazine. Relate this vision to your pro with as much detail as possible, including colors, sounds and smells.

Ask the pro about time management, style of performance and how to manage your own expectations when collaborating with them to create the ceremony and reception.

Ask about the execution of traditions or new elements that you would like to incorporate into your celebration.
