Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We generally like to spend a bit of time getting to know the client in more casual conversation rather than making it like a more formal interview. It relaxes the client and they feel more at east to share their visions, likes, dislikes etc. We want our clients to be as comfortable with the experience as we are from start to finish.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our Chefs have been classically trained and have a combined 60+ years of experience. Our Front of the House staff has over 40 years of experience in the industry. We are all in possession of Manager's Servsafe credentials as well as Alcohol and HACCP certifications. As the owner, I additionally have degrees in Hospitality and Business Management.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
No we do not have standard pricing or menus. Everything we do is completely customized for each client. We whole-heartedly believe your special occasions should be just as unique as you.
How did you get started in this business?
I personally began my culinary journey at the age of 5 when I would stand up on the stool next to my grandmother in the kitchen. She was my first culinary instructor and taught many of the fine arts of cooking whole foods and baking from scratch. She was a pioneer in what we now know as "Farm to Table" and I still utilize the skills and respect for ingredients that she taught me to this day.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with clients from one end of the spectrum to the other from high school kids planning their ASB functions or sports awards ceremonies to Celebrity affairs including music lauch parties and award galas.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
ALL of them!! I know it may sound silly to say but we truly love each and every affair that we do no matter the size because it is our opportunity to share our passion with you.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
There are going to be a lot of questions that you may not know to even ask but if you come to us with a clear idea on what your budget is and the style of affair that you're looking for i.e. casual, cocktail hour, high end etc. we can help you with the rest.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What their budget is and what style of affair they want us to help them acheive.
