What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
PEJ will meet with the potential client to interview and ask questions about style, concept, must-haves, budget, etc.
Then we will create and submit a custom proposal to the couple.
If any changes are required we would complete and return for second look. Once everything is to the couple's satisfaction, we sign a contract and start the planning for decor, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology which allows me to understand different personalities and be able to relate to different cultures, etc.
I have had over 20 years experience planning special events.
I am very organized and detail-focused.

Pour Etre Joli Events offers a variety of prices to meet any client's budget. PEJ only takes a few weddings, and special events per year so no matter the budget, the client will feel like they are the only event on the calendar year.

How did you get started in this business?
I was a leader in several organizations while attending The University of Miami. I had opportunities to plan and execute many special events for each organization that I was involved in.
Because of my attention to detail and people skills, several friends asked me to coordinate and decorate their weddings.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all different types of people and with different age, race, ethnic background.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently worked with a bride that gave PEJ free reign on the specific design elements of her wedding. She completely trusted us to create an intimate, woodsy-themed wedding in a garden. We concluded the event under a tent in 80 degree humid weather. The bride and groom had a great time!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would check out the reviews and talk to people who have worked with the specific vendor. Ask lots of questions, and see how well the vendor listens to your specific needs and requests.
