    Frequently asked questions

We either talk in person, over the phone or via email, whichever is most convenient for the client.  I gather all information about the event floral needs and email an estimate and contract shortly afterwards.

I have been in the floral industry for 20 years, and have certified accreditation as a floral designer with the internationally recognized AIFD.  I graduated from OSU/ATI with a degree in Marketing/Floral design.

I generally need to know the size and style before I can quote exact pricing on arrangement cost.  Delivery and Set up costs include travel time, time needed to load, unload and place arrangements, number of vehicles/employees needed for transport.

I started within the agriculture program at my high school.  I was fortunate to have 3 years of floral design in high school, working my last year in a flower shop and then continuing on to college in that field. I received my AIFD certification after passing design testing in 2003.

Literally I have worked with everyone.  Corporate, Local, Wedding, Funeral, everyday people.

I was working on a wedding in October and the bride was so easy to work with.  When one of the flowers that is usually in season suddenly became unavailable, we scheduled a quick meeting in store two days prior to the event and worked it out together.  She was happy with the substitutions and was really pleased with the finished product.

Research their previous work, their reviews, and how long they have been in business.  Yes, you might save a few dollars going with a "studio florist" but they will lack the resources and experience that comes from years of being fully immersed in every aspect of this industry.  You have to plan for the unpredictable and be able to handle stress.

Have a clear picture (or pinterest board) of what you like, how many items you will need and if possible, please disclose your budget you are comfortable working within.  Knowing the budget going into an estimate is much easier to work with than quoting pricing only to find out you have over shot the budget.  We can also make suggestions to enhance certain elements or eliminate based on your needs.  Communication is key.
