What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Check multiple search engines before making a decision and call the places you are considering. If you are not treated right on the phone it will not be any better in person.
I cannot say how many times a new client makes it a point to come to the desk and tell me "the only reason that I chose Guys & Dolls was because you were so nice to me on the phone".
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
They should have an idea of what they want to do (i.e. the end result) and what they are able (prepared) to comfortably spend. If you have champagne taste on a beer budget, then look for salons on groupon offering full highlights, cut & blow dry for $50 and see how well you like the results.
With hair it's simple: You get what you pay for. While we are not Supercuts or Hair Cutttery, we definitley do not charge Boca or Las Olas prices. Our prices are reasonable, very reasonable for a 5-star salon.
