The Old Soulz Band (OSB) is a six-piece group featuring harmonizing vocals and a horn section. This allows us to play a wide variety of music to which people like to dance and sing along. We play the very best of classic rock, Motown, blues, dance, country, and beach music. We specialize in songs that are immediately recognizable by everyone and bring back wonderful memories for many. Our driving beats and dynamic horns always has the crowd on their feet! And, OSB’s years of stage experience will guarantee the guests have a night to remember.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to speak with all our clients well before the event and make sure we understand the type of event they are holding. We have a standard questionairre that we go over that tells us how much of our own equipment (e.g. amplifiers, lighting, etc.) we will need to bring and set up. We also want to know who the audience will be as this helps us choose the right music and set the right tone for the event. Of course, we are open to working with the client regarding music selection. We also need to understand the load-in and load-out situation, parking, timing, attire, etc.
When it is all settled, we have a simple, one-page contract that specifies what we have all agreed to.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are all very seasoned musicians. Some of us made a living making music years ago playing with some well-known international acts. Others of us have enjoyed making music as a serious hobby for decades. Through this band we have formed strong, lasting friendships that come through in our performances.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
A lot of variables go into pricing. Thus, we prefer to provide custom quotes for each event. However, you will find that our rates are VERY reasonable.
How did you get started in this business?
Some of us started in our teens and others before that. For some, it was singing in church and others it was just a love of the music of our time.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Pretty much every type. Music festivals/events, corporate events, municipal events, weddings, parties, lodges, the American Legion, restaurants/bars, and others.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We played a Shriner's Christmas party/children's tory drive down in south Georgia. There was lots of dancing and some singing along. The crowd interaction was great. And, there were donated toys everywhere! We are sure there were some happy faces down there on Christmas morning.
We always enjoy playing for American Legions. It is a treat for us to provide a night of fun for the men and women who have made our freedoms and way of life possible.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Please be as specific as possible about the types of music you would like for your event. It helps us decide whether our band is a good candidate which helps limit the number of offers you receive that are a poor fit.
