Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we will start with a consultation which will include prior chemical services, how often hair is treated, trimmed and go over previously used products. Only from there will I be able to make an imformed professional opinion on the course of treatment and possibly a structured hair regimen. For nail services we will discuss any previous issues and prices for requested services
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I often atten master classes for trendy styling, advance hair color & hair cutting techniques. I am always learning and bring something new to the table for my clients to experience. For nail services I have attended many private classes and nail shows
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is pretty standard all services are priced with extra incentives that will take the place of having to make decisions that could cost the integrity of your hair or place your regimen in jeopardy. Nail services are customer based on experience and products used
How did you get started in this business?
I was a small child with a passion of creating styles and just practicing prior haircare techniques. I transitioned to nails to move around the industry and become well rounded in my craft. I knew exactly what I wanted to do even then. I grew up and had servers opportunities to advance in the industry and there is no stopping me now
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with women, children and men. I have had the pleasure of assisting those clients who in the salon world would call them difficult. No one wants to fight or argue with a client so understanding exactly what that customer is desiring and being open and honest makes the difference when you encounter such a customer
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I moved to a new location and love the layout and atmosphere. This was by far the best thing I could have done and I am so happy to be back in the industry changing lives one style and nail service at a time
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask questions! No question is too small or big. That is truly the only way you will find if a stylist is a good fit for you. Then be honest. There is nothing worse than continuing a client -stylist relationship if either is not a good fit
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
They should be able to express exactly what they want. This creates a barrier between stylist and clients and it could just be a misunderstanding based on not being clear how to express their expectations for a service
