Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meeting the customer (even if we just FaceTime) and getting to know them is very important to me. It helps for a better outcome.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a DJ/Entertainer for over 30 years now. In 2000 I opened the first DJ School in Hawai`i and the Worlds first DJ Battle Scrathing School for Turntablist.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have packages listed on my website at www.disndatentertainment.com the website also explains more in detial about my company.
How did you get started in this business?
I love music, love to dance and love entertaining people... made for a great combo to be a DJ/Entertainer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with all types of customers from all over the world. I have done huge events in some of the biggest hotels here in Hawai`i (conventions, NFL ProBowl parties, motivational seminars, etc.) to small backyard Birthday parties. I just love my job and love to make customers events outstanding and fun!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Raymond's Graduation party from College... it was a big achievement for him so he went big, with UpLighting, monogram, games, over $500 in prizes, an amazing food menu in a beautiful hotel.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Get to know your DJ/MC to see if they fit what you are looking for. Look at the reviews they get on Yelp and most importantly shop around for what fits you best based on the outcome you want for your event... don't base it on price. After all the saying is true, "You get what you pay for".
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How long have they been a DJ/Entertainer?
Do you have any references you can send over?
If your equipment fails at my event what is your back up plan?
