What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically see how I can make a clients vision become a reality through sound. If it's a wedding I will ask for the top 20 most meaningful songs and work from there. I also get a feel for the audience and play the genres that will make them dance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been trained in Sound engineering and design. I have been a DJ and music producer for over 25 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a "standard" for pricing, however depending on speakers and location etc. my prices average $125.00 per hr.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started playing music for my parents and their company as a child. When I went away to college, I went with turntables and speakers and never had to call home for any money!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with Corporate event planners, wedding planners, store owners, bar owners, and everyone other person who wanted to plan an amazing event for a loved one or themselves.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love Karaoke events. I love to see families singing and people having a great time being a part of the music.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would say, don't judge a book by its cover. Be open to quality and the advice of the professionals.
