About
Music is my love and my passion. I've been a DJ for 5 years but a music nerd/musicologist all of my life! I love that music is a universal language that can get a whole crowd of people up and dancing, regardless of their background, and forget all life's complications for a little while. I love to work closely with my clients to ensure that they have the best experience possible. DJ Esquire is at your service.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Lots of communication to see exactly what they want to hear. Whether it's golden oldies for your parents 50th anniversary or those 80s one hit wonders for your high school reunion or today's Top 40 for that sweet 16, I'm well versed in all styles of music and will work closely with you to ensure that we all have an amazing time!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm also a working musician (a guitarist), so music is in my blood. My only training in this field is the years I've spent in total immersion of music and I'm always seeking to discover new songs, new artists, and new sounds to add to my growing, massive music catalog that everyone will enjoy, no matter the event.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My prices are $75 an hour if the event is 4 hours or less. More than 4 hours and it goes to $50 an hour. I bring all of my own equipment including dj table, microphones, speakers, and lights.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started when a friend asked me to fill in and DJ a party when the person she hired canceled at the last minute. At this point all I had was a laptop and the crossfade feature on my Windows Media Player. I got so much positive feedback that I decided that it would be something that I would become serious about. I went from making custom made mix CDs for friends and family to making live mixes at parties, receptions, reunions, and small gatherings.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with all types of customers, from all backgrounds and have done everything from wedding receptions to birthday parties.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A 50th wedding anniversary that allowed them to relive some of their fondest memories through the songs that got them through all the good and bad times in their marriage.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Communication is key! I work for you and will do everything in my power and beyond to make sure your event exceeds your expectations! Tell me exactly what you need me to do to make this happen while also trusting that I am fully capable of doing so!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Being specific about what particular vibe you want me to create for your event. I will answer every question honestly and work with you to make this an amazing success!
