Flowers on the Park has been in business since 1985 servicing the entire Metro area. We are located in Woodbury MN and specialize in Weddings and Events of all sizes and budgets. We also specialize in funeral services, birthdays, new baby, get well, Anniversary as well as, custom home decor and artificial arrangements. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to meet and get to know our customers to see what their style preference is, their likes and dislikes are. This helps us figure out the perfect flowers for their special event.

Every event is unique according to time of year... In the floral industry, items fluctuate according to availability and demand for the product. Other factors involved are: labor, distance of delivery, etc. This is why it is so important to meet with the client to get all the details for the event so we can come up with an accurate estimate.
How did you get started in this business?
I personally have been in the flower business since 1989 right after high school. I worked for a floral company that maintained plants in corporate offices. Then I worked for a small flower shop where I started to learn about flowers and design, all the while going to school at the University of Minnesota where I obtained a Floriculture degree in Agriculture. I have been working at Flowers on the Park since 1996 and now am fortunate to own and run the company since May 2016

We just did a Wedding for a Bride at the Bisillica in Minneapolis. Her bridal bouquet was stunning...come check out pictures at the shop
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Always go with someone you feel comfortable with... not everyone is a good fit for everyone... meet and talk to a few vendors before making your final decision. And sometimes the cheapest estimate isnt always the right fit for you.
What questions should customers think through before talking to vendors about their needs?
What is your theme(colors, feel, style) for your event. Come with budget in mind. Be open to suggestions... With the right planning you can't go wrong with flowers...they will always be beautiful
