Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I get to know them a bit and then we discuss how I can best meet their needs
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained with one of the best wedding DJs in DC and then did the same thing when I moved to Raleigh.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
90% of my jobs are for 5-6 hours and the cost range is between 1000-1500.
It all depends on what the family is looking for and how much help they need. If I'm the DJ AND coordinator, it costs a little more because I'm doing 2 jobs.
How did you get started in this business?
I was a bouncer for 2 years then I decided to do something a bit safer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with all types of customers. I have worked with everyone from McDonald's workers to CEOs.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I DJed the wedding for 2 chiropractors. They were the nicest people and a joy to work with. Their crowd was energetic and lively, everything just clicked!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do you best to get someone who has reviews, meshes with your personality, and gives you bang for your buck. If you find the DJ you want and they're a little bit more than you planned, go for it! People will always remember if they had fun at your event.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are actual wants and you have some flex vs what are actual needs and they're non-negotiable!
