Maximum DB's DJ Service
About
Wedding Professsionals, for over 30 years in the Greater Cincinati Tristate area, providing quality music for the event and keeping guest on the dance floor. We play music at a comfortable level so as not to send people home because the music is "too loud". We have active led dance lighting to liven up the dance floor.
I love seeing people having a good time and enjoying good music, and creating special memories!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with them to discuss there needs, the types of music they want, what type of music during dinner, perhaps something soft and relaxing or classic crooner style. Do they want lighting for the dance floor to give it that party feel. We discuss any other special events for the evening and the order. We utilize a web based planning software that makes their planning so easy and at their leisure, after they leave for creating playlists and timline for their event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Maximum dB's started out with Albums, and 45 records, and progressed to CD's, which were both very cumbersome and had to take a lot of records/CD's with you as part of your setup. You would be playing a song and would be looking for the next one in the hundreds of Albums/CD's. It was so nice converting to digital as evrthing is stored on a small USB hardrive, and using a laptop with DJ software versus a CD player or turntable.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing starts at $ 550.00 for a 4 hour event/reception. Additional cost may apply for a ceremony & reception, and possibly for outdoor events, and additional time . Pricing is evaluated after getting specific details about the event.
How did you get started in this business?
Because I liked music and had lots of it, my Niece asked me to do the music for her wedding reception, which I did, and I loved it, so after doing several other friends/family receptions, Maximum dB's DJ Service was born.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly wedding couples, but have done events for a mutiple types of customers. Derby parties, Anniversaries, Class Reunions, Going away parties, I even DJ'd my own class reunion, which was fun.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask questions about their style, and how they would perform at your event. In my oppinion, a Wedding is not the place for a DJ to take over the show (so to speak), and play the music so loud that the people who came from out of town to be with family and friends, can't even converse without leaving the room to talk. The music can be directed to the dance floor and played loud enough for the dancers to enjoy, and yet people in the audiance can converse.
