T'izm Sound
About
It's not the music being played but how it's played. I'm a DJ, and not your average DJ either and not some human jukebox pressing buttons. It's important that a DJ brings forth one's self meaning own style, sound and energy to the tables. The energy the crowd provides the DJ goes right back to the crowd.
I love music and how it brings people together and have a great time. Seeing my crowd in great positive spirits is what makes me happy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like the human touch. I want to talk and get to know my clients to get a chemistry or vibe so I can not only gain their trust but to know what their tastes are, what makes them move.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a collector first, DJ second. I've always collected CDs and vinyl since I was a kid. Other than that I majored in television production and minor in radio at Columbia College Chicago.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Depends on the needs for the event. But I try to work with my client's budget. Just don't lowball me.
How did you get started in this business?
I was an audio visual technician for a top ranked hospital in Chicago. I was assigned to DJ 70s music for a 25th anniversary gala outdoors. It went so well I was brought on to spin for the executives' social event later that evening. I knew I should've been doing this years before.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Weddings, lounges/clubs/bars, fashion shows, corporate events, sporting events, concerts, even performed in bands.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The Pancakes and Booze Art Show which travels around the world.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find a DJ whom you can get a good chemistry with. Check out his skills online and get the trust of his music knowledge and appreciation. Above all, know while gaining trust for that DJ, don't lose his trust in you by paying him less than his worth.
