Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to first learn as much as I possibly can about my clients event & what their needs are. If it's a special event I like to create a vision board so that we are all on the same page as to what is desired. We discuss what the budget is & the time line.
Once we have this information we develop a proposal that outlines and displays our vision for the project along with a budget sheet so that all the charges are transparent.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my degree in education. I have 13+ years with hands on event planning.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
No, I feel that each job/ event have indivudual needs and prices will vary depending on the scope of work that needs to be accomplished.
How did you get started in this business?
I took a position as an event manager with a local trade show company where I grew their business for 2 shows a year to 6 shows that span the globe between Sydney and London.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with corporate makeup companies like MAC, Stila, Lime Crime and Make Up For Ever cosmetics. My passion is working with people who is planning an event by themselves and just need a helping hand.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I produce an event in Hillsboro OR, OrenKoFest that is a Octoberfest & artisian event. We had over 10,000 people at our event in 2019 and ZERO incidents.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you feel comfortable with the person you choose, make sure that they can go the distance with you .. problems WILL arise and having an event planner that can give you a solid plan B and sometimes a plan C is a MUST.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Have a budget no matter how small it's best to know what you have to work with than delivering a proposal that is not even close.
Let the Pros know what you would like to DYI so that we can focus on the areas you don't feel like you can do.
Are you flexiable of the dates??
Are you open to suggestions on venues, catering, music etc??
