The Quake is the Philadelphia based, powerhouse high energy party dance band offering the finest in live musical entertainment which will keep your guests dancing all night long !

Formed in Philadelphia in 1995 by bassist/leader, Carl Smith, and late keyboardist, Bill “Wolf” Young, The Quake (aka The Monday Night Live Band) of the now defunct Comcast SportsNet one hour variety “sports-tainment” show, Monday Night Live. Because of these experiences, the band has a wealth of knowledge at their disposal, and of course, the music and presentation are without question, spectacular.

The Quake is not an entertainment agency, a production company with multiple bands, or mercenary musicians that tend to get “mixed and matched”. Formed in Philadelphia in 1995, The Quake is a professional, upscale, special events band. The band that you hire is the one that will perform at your event. Configurations can range from 7 to 12 pieces, depending on budget and type of event, with no compromises in sound or performance.

The Quake Band was AMAZING!! We had a last minute cancellation and the saved us and gave us the most fun and unique wedding reception I could’ve imagined. The entire crowd was on the dance floor the whole night, dancing to a wide variety of songs for all different age groups. All our guests are saying it’s the best wedding they’ve been to, and a HUGE amount of that is credited to this band. They even worked with me to surprise my husband by performing a song with the band! Unforgettable night. I would recommend The Quake Band in a heartbeat.

Carl was fantastic from day 1! He was very informative and quick to respond to any calls or emails. The day of the wedding we had no worries because they had everything perfectly in order. The music was amazing and our family and friends danced ALL night!! They played all genres of music and couldn’t have been better! Thank you Carl and to the rest of the band for making our night so memorable and fun!! We will definitely never forget it.
