Meeting the new people and their social or church or family groups. I have been blessed to meet so many people over the years that ask for me to return and sing for them again and again. I have watched their children grow and then sung for their weddings when they became adults. It's just be a joyful way to make a buck!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to call the customer directly. I prefer to ask them exactly what their expectations and vision are and then make sure I have everything designed for their event to them specifically.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing production and musical venues for almost 45 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Within 50 miles of my business adress the cost of a solo gig is $175.
Within 100 miles of my business address the cost of a solo gig is $250.
If a church books me, as long as this is for one of my solo gigs, I always take that booking on a love-offering basis.
How did you get started in this business?
I was six years old when I had my first solo in church, seven when I had my first solo in school. I have been singing since. I am a solid 61 now and the pipes are strong. I am grateful to God for that gift and will continue to sing and travel as long as He permits.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Churches (too many to mention), Railroad excursions (including Strasburg Rail Road, New Hope & Ivyland Railroad, Black River and Western Railroad, Wilmington and Western Railroad, Colebrookdale Railroad), Corporate (including Bear Creek Ski and Lodge), Conference Hotels (including Traditions on the Glen in Johnson City, NY).
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I produce the train robberies on the Strasburg Rail Road, there are three a year and they are so much fun. They sell to maximum capicity and I get to act and sing, along with my staff. I also just performed for Wyomissing Brethren Church for a presentation on the life of the blind Hymnist Fanny J. Crosby. If I had to pick a favorite show, it would continue to be Fanny. I have been performing and singing as Fanny J. Crosby (circa 1820 - 1915) for over 25 plus years.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Talk to the pro directly, via phone. If possible facetime or skype. Ask for their most recent gig reference. Check out their FB social media.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
First have a date in hand. If not, you may be getting information for nothing if the entertainer is not available. Then make sure you feel comfortable with the style of entertainment. You do not want a 'dirty' entertainer at a family event. Ask the vocalist to sing something for you live over the phone. A slice of anything, that will quickly give you an idea if they can sing or everything is a 'mock up' on their sites.
