I've been DJing ever since my mother showed me how to put the needle on the record. Music is part of our lives and an exciting element.
My experience includes radio, mobile events, weddings, corporate events, charity, and nightclubs.
Since 2006 we offer Video DJ services playing music videos adding a visual element to our performance.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet with every client in person, over the phone or via zoom to discuss their event, event schedule and all other details to ensure we get things right.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've gone to a local DJ school to receive detailed training. Although, I've been DJing on the radio, weddings, events, and nightclubs for decades.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends on what is needed and what services are offered. We offer standard packages that are flat rate for the event and we don't charge for additional time.
Corporate Events are usually around $1200+
Weddings are usually around $1200-1500+
We also offer decorative uplighting that is 100% wireless and can be controlled by an ipad.
How did you get started in this business?
I've been DJing since I was a little kid. I've always had passion for DJing. As a kid, I'd spend what little money I had mowing lawns to buy records at the record store. In college, I DJed on the radio hosting my own show called NightTrain.
Groovy Sound Productions was started in 2003 to provide professional DJ services for events and weddings.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
At Southfork Ranch, I DJ'd for a wonderful couple, their family and friends. Initially the wedding was going to take place in October but was delayed because of Covid. We had a fantastic time and they were such pleasant people to work with. I'm glad to be a part of the beginning of their new life together.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you meet your DJ in advance and ask them what type of backup equipment they have if their computer or hard drive fails the day of the event.
We bring 2-3 computers and extra hard drives with music just in case their is an equipment failure.
