Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When first working with a new customer, prior to me accepting their booking, I answer any questions or concerns they may have in detail. Then:
1. I would need them to fill out my online consultation form. This form allows me to obtain information on their skin type, foundation and concealer shades (if applicable), personal contact information, description of the look they would like to go for, and more.
2. Then I would direct the client to making their booking in my calendar as soon as possible and pay their deposit to secure their spot.
3. Afterwards, I send a detailed invoice via email to show the customer the remaining balance for the day of the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken numerous makeup master classes and online subscription tutorials to help aid my technique and skill level. I also have experience working in NYFW on a more high paced level.

How did you get started in this business?
I got started back in 2013 teaching myself how to do makeup. Over time I realized how much of a love I have for it, how much I disliked working for someone else, and I wanted to share that with others. As a result, I started my own business and it has been thriving ever since March 2018.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with celebrities, government officials, brides and bridal parties, teenagers and younger children, fashion models, and more!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent project I have done was working in NYFW for the Tommy x Zendaya show at the Apollo in Harlem, New York! After we watched the demo that Sir John (head makeup artist for the show and Beyoncé’s key makeup artist) provided, we had approximately an hour or less per person to get as many models done and execute the look accordingly. The prep process for makeup and hair was pretty much an all day thing. But it was worth it!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would recommend looking for someone who is:
1. friendly and will create a conversation with you
2. flexible with their hours
3. knowledgeable in the area of work
4. And will give you the best look possible based on what your skin type and facial features represent.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
- What products do you use that adhere to my skin type best?
-What other services do you provide aside from makeup if any?
-What is the total cost of my request?
-How do you conduct your booking process?
-What are your current COVID-19 precautions that are In place?
-Where can I view your portfolio?
