CPK Floral Designs has been a woman-owned professional studio florist focused on weddings and events since 2016, located in Leesburg, Virginia. All of our designs are customized to meet your vision, preferences and budget. We are genuinely committed to high-quality personalized service that exceeds your expectations. Our goal is to create distinctive and unique floral arrangements using modern, environmentally sustainable floral design methods and materials. Our professional recommendations will be based on our practical knowledge of the best value and longevity of in-season flowers sourced locally. We will always show you economical ways we can build your floral arrangements to be re-purposed throughout your event, from ceremony to reception. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually I ask if the client has a chosen color scheme or favorite flower(s). Once this is ascertained I typically build a flower palette and send a few inspirational photos for discussion. We also discuss what types of flower arrangements will be needed. Next, we talk about the client's budget and my pricing structure. A proposal is then sent to the client for discussion and approval, then I draw a contract up to finalize terms for signature.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree and a Masters Degree and a Paralegal Certification. As well, I have completed my formal floral design education and through the Floral Design Institute (FDI) having attained status as a FDI Certified Floral Designer. I have also attained accreditation as a Certified Floral Designer (CFD) through the worldwide respected American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All of my pricing is based on the components of the overall design. The types of flowers chosen as well as the size of each of the arrangements will have a big influence on the overall pricing. During our discussions, I will ascertain all of the relevant information and then provide pricing through a formal proposal with photos.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always loved floral design and for many years was a faux floral artist. I decided to go to floral design school for a formal education and pivoted into working with fresh flowers from that experience. I decided to create my business specialty in fresh and faux floral plants and trees to combine my experience working with a variety of materials.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with residential and commercial clients including clients from all walks of life, restaurant owners, wedding event facilities and barns, wineries, hospitals, interior designers, event planners.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently worked with a bride and groom having a micro-wedding at a restaurant in DC. I created a beautiful ceremony backdrop of hand-crafted Magnolia trees (as rental items) with fresh and faux floral. As well, a large reception table centerpiece was created with loosely laid greenery and flowers and candles. Bud vases were creatively placed throughout the ceremony and reception spaces. The overall event floral design concept was very well received and commended.
